Since the April 23, 2026 restructuring, the BC PNP selects workers under three priorities: Care (health, childcare, education and veterinary occupations), Build (construction trades) and Innovate (high economic impact candidates in any TEER 0–3 occupation). When is the next BC PNP draw?
British Columbia does not announce draw dates in advance. Since May 2026, though, the program has followed a steady rhythm of about two draw days a month:
- Care and Build draws early in the month: May 6, June 2, July 9, August 6, September 10 and October 8.
- High Economic Impact draws later in the month: May 14, June 18, July 16, August 20 and September 24.
Our reading of the pattern (not an official date)
A High Economic Impact round would be due in late October 2026, and the next Care and Build round in early November. The BC PNP has said it plans to use all 6,254 of its 2026 nominations by December 31. There were no draws in January 2025 or January 2026, so expect a quiet start to 2027 until the new allocation is confirmed.

Minimum score, with the number of invitations in brackets. Only registrants in a priority occupation who meet the extra condition (for example an ECE certificate, Care Aide Registry registration or a SkilledTradesBC credential) are considered.

High Economic Impact (Innovate) draws 2026
Candidates qualify on either track. The wage track needs both the hourly and the annual minimum and a job offer in NOC TEER 0–3; bonuses and overtime do not count.

There were no Skills Immigration draws in January or March 2026. The February and April rounds ran before the Care, Build and Innovate priorities were announced.

WelcomeBC's snapshot from October 6, 2026 shows 7,695 Skills Immigration registrations. Only 203 scored 130 or more, which is why the High Economic Impact points cut-off moves slowly, while about 71% scored under 110.

Common questions about BC PNP draws
When is the next BC PNP draw?
The BC PNP does not publish draw dates in advance. Since May 2026 it has held about two draw days a month: a Care and Build draw early in the month (May 6, June 2, July 9, August 6, September 10 and October 8) and an Innovate (High Economic Impact) draw later in the month (May 14 to September 24). If that pattern holds, the next High Economic Impact round would come in late October and the next Care and Build round in early November 2026. The program has said it plans to use its full 2026 allocation of 6,254 nominations by December 31. In both 2025 and 2026 there were no draws in January, so early 2027 may be quiet.
How often are BC PNP draws held?
In 2026 there were 16 Skills Immigration draw dates between February 4 and October 8, roughly two a month from May onward. Entrepreneur Immigration rounds are separate and have been about monthly. There is no fixed schedule, and the program can change draw frequency at any time.
What is the minimum score for BC PNP?
There is no fixed pass mark. Each draw sets its own cut-off. In the October 8, 2026 draw the minimums were 76 for Health, 94 for Construction trades, 99 for Childcare and 86 for Veterinary. The September 24 High Economic Impact draw needed 131 points, or a wage of at least $52 an hour and $105,000 a year in a TEER 0–3 job. Which contest you are in depends on your occupation and credentials.
Is a score of 98 good for BC PNP?
It depends on your occupation. On October 8, 2026, a 98 would have cleared the Health (76) and Construction trades (94) cut-offs but missed Childcare (99) by one point. It is far below the 131-point High Economic Impact cut-off, so if your occupation is not on the Care or Build priority lists, 98 is unlikely to be enough without a wage that meets the wage track.
Does the BC PNP still hold tech draws?
No. The last tech-targeted draw was on December 3, 2024. Tech workers now compete in the Innovate (High Economic Impact) draws, which have no occupation list and invite candidates by wage or by points.
How do I get into a BC PNP draw?
You need a qualifying full-time B.C. job offer and an eligible employer, then you register in BCPNP Online and receive a score. Your registration stays in the pool for 12 months. If you are invited, you have 30 calendar days to submit a complete application, and that deadline cannot be extended.
